can anyone help i have a loom for a w/ng but don.t have a wiring dirgram to follow for the wire colours and what goes to what does anyone have one they could post or forward as would like to get this done and dust so all elec work.
thanks. dom.
1941/1942 contract w/ng (wiring)
i'll have a look at the switch to see what one i have ,also would like to have a rear light and stop light fit think i can fit a 6v tail brake light bulb in the rear light as have fitted the large brass round light rather that the small pencil light listed in the parts list if it is go on the road ,also does this mean that noone has a wiring dirgram for this bike to help solve this problem.

I don't think you'll get the later "no ammeter/push button in headlamp/switch under seat" arrangement but you might have a switch with the convoy positon.
Most likely you have the standard off/low/high switch
If you are wiring a stop lamp, then you are already into a non standard loom.
There are very few wires in the loom and it's pretty easy to make one yourself.
This way you can track an extra earth wire to the headlamp and rear light (seriously advised)
All post war bikes have the same equipment (switch/dynamo etc) so it's pretty easy to use a later wiring diagram.
You could use one of those ? Waller gives most of them:

Alternatively here is the original WNG diagram (from the WNG manual) with the wiring colours:

You can get fabric covered wiring ....such as here:

Peter Kemp (AOMCC single spares) also tells me that he will have the frame wiring clips, in stainless, shortly too !
