Pleases excuse ignorance. Who are 'google bot' and 'bing bot'?

Hi Roger,
There are others as well. They're like the people on scooters taking photo's for google maps, only "virtual".
They're just cruising our posts, looking for key words and clever stuff, so that people using Google, Bing etc can search for and find our wise words about Ariels...

It's short for "robot"

A traditonal robot is an electro-mechanical device for carrying out a task.
a 'bot is similar but software.
