oil pump ball bearings

Hi All, what size are the ball bearings in the oil pump on a 39VH are they 7/32" or 1/4 " thanks regards Clive.

They are 7/32", if using new balls check the seating is good, no raised lip present, and tap/lap seat

Thanks Pete for the reply have to look for two 7/32" balls in the garage in my ball bearing tub thanks again Clive.

If you don't find any, I have a few new ones spare, for the cost of a postage stamp.

If the balls go POP they are sealing alright. I don't think belting them onto the seat would do much. It's quite wide. A careful touch with a ball ended mill might true it up. Worn out of shape balls are totally unreliable as far as consistent seating is concerned. Nev
