I have also come across chrome parts in some period photos on models where I would not have expected it. In contrast, the photo we used for our energy drink is an Ariel SV from the 1930s and also has a chrome tank.

What other parts have you seen chrome plated on the more basic models Karol?Karol Burger wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2024 7:49 am I have also come across chrome parts in some period photos on models where I would not have expected it. mainly the fuel tank, but I also noticed the clutch cover or the brake lever. However, I like it best if there is not enough chrome. I would max out the chrome tank and upper rocker arms. Nothing more

Thanks. The clutch cover is in original paint; I was intending to paint the handlebar and leave the tank plating as-is. It's in pretty good shape.Karol Burger wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2024 8:53 am mainly the fuel tank, but I also noticed the clutch cover or the brake lever. I've been thinking about the wheel rims - they are going to have to be replaced.
cheers
