lighting switch

Hi, The rebuild of my nh 1956 is making progress. I have just bought a Lucas style lighting switch with the wire spring to fix it on to the dash panel.
My question is... How does the spring clip work? I can't see how to fix it in place. It always looks like it is going to break the switch if I force it in any way. I bet someone can tell me the corect way to fit it and then it will be dead ovious!

Thanks Mick. The clip looks to be a diferent shape but now I know what it's supost to look like I can meybe bend my clip to sute.
