I was wondering the same as Nev. Oil is hardly supplied to inlet by gravity!!

Looks like its in a tray, immediately ahead of the rear wheel tyre.

From the rib on the steering head that's a 1954/55 plunger frame which would be a pretty rare thing. Pity it's been wrecked.
And what is it with turning a foot change into a hand change? These guys have clearly never spent any time with a hand change
(Without doubt a very Bad Thing has happened but I don't think anyone here would have been so brutal so moved to Ariel Talk...)

hi takes me back, we still build RAT bikes today, for customers , but on this one i don't know where is the foot pegs are, it will be a better ride with the plunger rear than ridge frame
