DVR2 regulator question

Hi folks, I am going to swap out my old MCR2 as it doesn't seen to be behaving itself despite my best efforts.
See photo for what I was going to do.

My question is: is it ok to fit a DVR2 inside the old cover, or does it need a decent cooling air flow ?

Thanks, Bevan

my voltage regulator is fixed to a bracket onto the original mcr2 base and is "hidden" inside it , works just fine and the metalwork of the case provides a decent heatsink i expect .
cheers

Hi Bevan,
Sorry I have only just seen this post.
I mounted my DVR2 inside the old case but retained the original base.
I also mounted it upside down compared to your picture.
The bolt on the top provides a strong mounting point as well as a heat sink into the base.
I drilled the appropriate hole in the old base of course.
I wired it up to the normal FADE connections so it all looks standard when buttoned up.
Cheers
Gary
