Rear mudguard stays Black Ariel

Post by ian cochrane »

I’ve tried unsuccessfully to obtain rear mudguard stays for my 1927 OHV Ariel,Ariel Klub Slovakia no longer do them so it looks like I will have to make them, can anyone tell me what dia steel tube I would require and possibly a photo of how they are attached to the mudguard would be of great help.
Thanks.

These stays will almost certainly be made of 'c' section material not tube. I am afraid that the club do not have drawings for these stays that were only fitted to the model E in 1927 but will be similar to the 1928 version.
