Another prat pulled out of the side road without looking

Post by paul.jameson »

Last time I took the Square out it was to the AOMCC Summer Rally where it was awarded "Best Square Four" in the Concours.

Today I took it to a Vintage Club Breakfast meeting. On the way home, going through Bromyard, a prat pulled out of the side road without looking first at the exact time when I could not avoid him. I ended on his bonnet, the bike on the side of the car until I slid back down to land on my left foot. The forks are well bent, mainly sideways but also backwards and there is other damage. I am shaken up and have a fracture in one of the bones in the right wrist. It could have been a lot worse. Click on the photo to turn it the right way.

So sorry to hear that Paul, glad you are in one piece. I'm sure you'll have that splendid bike together again before long.
cheers

So sorry to hear this Paul, I hope you recover quickly.

Its a shame about the bike but it can be repaired, we take a bit longer as we get older.

I've lost track of the number of times I've had to "take to the grass" to avoid other traffic on the wrong side of the road (usually black Landrovers I'm afraid).

All the very best to you.

Bob.

Ouch

These people walk amongst us Paul.

I hope you heal fast and that the insurance pays for your Ariel to be bought back to full health.

You are too old for stunt riding Paul....but I'm glad you aren't too damaged.

It's not their standard of walking that's the main problem, Dave ;) Though Ive no doubt that their standard of walking would fall far below that expected of a careful and competent pedestrian too

I hope a full recoverey of that glorious machine, and Paul of course, doesnt take too long.
