I read the piece in Cheval that you referred to. The 123 is a high-tech piece of kit, for sure. I think it may be overkill on a simple, low-power engine like a Square Four, though. Programable advance curves etc would be nice in a high-performance engine, but probably a bit OTT for what my bike needs.
Nice to know that such things exist, though!
