Ariel Owners Motorcycle Club

we only started the season in May with short rides in Slovakia. It was kind of a test after the winter break to make sure the bikes were still working.

after eliminating minor defects, we went to Germany for the first meeting. Although the weather was not very favorable, we were still looking forward to new adventures with Ariel. in the Whatsapp application modified for this meeting, photos of enthusiasts heading to the Black Forest began to appear. it made our travel more pleasant

the cold weather did not deter us, we were determined to explore this part of the world .

on the first day we drove approximately 150 km through beautiful countryside. Dense forests and very hilly terrain. All roads were quite undulating. But we also found time for a coffee or enjoying the view by the side of the road.

the next day the temperature dropped significantly and it started to rain, we postponed the start several times, but it didn't help. Only a few daredevils set out on the road, but after a while they came back quite frozen.So many of us preferred the sauna and rest, then in the evening we watched Ben and Lynne's engaging talk about their trip to Australia and Canada

the next day was about something else. The weather cleared up and we were able to go on a 221 km long trip around the area. Beautiful! It was not very warm, only 8-13 degrees, but the terrain was perfect. every time there was a breakdown on the motorcycle, Roger showed up with his miracle case, which contains everything, absolutely everything you need to repair it so you can continue riding. but simply an exceptional day, made for riding.

minor breakdowns gradually dissolved a large group of motorcycles into smaller units, and then it was much easier to stop, take a photo, or drink a sip of hot coffee or tea.

I enjoyed it very much. I managed to get to know people in person whom I had previously only known through e-mail, messenger messages and photos from this forum. even though I don't know languages at all and this time I didn't have any competent translator with me. We've always come to an agreement somehow. something was translated by Pali, something was managed by Google translate, and for something all it took was a smile.

not to forget ! every evening we were entertained by the unique Pacher family. They deserve a lot of thanks for that. No one was alone with them, they always had a smile, a glass of beer and a cheerful song ready. With them, everyone had to feel like a member of one big Ariel family. Thank you for that. and also thanks to Otto and his family and to Jens and many others for a great rally.

and why do I actually mention it? Because I'm learning. I have been attending Ariel meetings for several years in order to gain experience and be able to organize the next Ariel Raly 2024 in our country (Slovakia) I will be happy if some of you manage to participate 1 - 4 August 2024 But I'm getting ahead of myself a bit, we'll get to that in time. I will inform you in advance.
