Hi, 1940 W/NG now almost down to bare frame for its cosmetic overhaul back to khaki, with any mechanical issues encountered as they crop up along the way...
I've done enough with old bikes to know that it isn't a case of whether or not the frame is bent but rather a question of how much it is bent.
The main area of doubt at present is whether the frame top tube is aiming at the correct spot where the rear wheel axle would be, i.e. between the rear forks.
Is any general arrangement drawing available for the frame (can't see one in the list of factory drawings) with dimensions? Or can anybody tell me the relevant measurements from the inside of each rear wheel lug to the point which should line up with the top tube?
Thanks in anticipation, again...
Dave S.
