These are great photos of the 1953 Ariel range!
I was bicycling in Sardegna for a few weeks and came to a nice book about the history of Bologna. Inside was this nice photo of a device how to stop your house burn down using an Ariel. I wonder if this can be used nowadays to drive your Kaercher steamer cleaning the driveway from oily spots?

Hi Nev, I think you are absolutely right, at least if you live in hot Alice Springs. Maybe it takes a little longer in northern Norway in wintertime!

People are resourceful. A pump is a good example. I discovered these photos today.

The first one in Karol's set above (happy chap on cammy four) is remarkably similar to the image used on page 2 of the 1932 sales catalogue.

Heres one of two greats, Ariel and Fausto Coppi,there are some great photos of motorcycles in cycle races,especially the 1930s 40s and 50s,then they change to BMW after then,I found this one on Pinterest.Someone will be able to identify the motorcycle
