Last Hardenberg Autojumble ever

Post by Vincent.vanGinneke »

All good things come to an end, after 45 years Motorclub 'De Gasschoeve' ( The Throttle) held the last Hardenberg Motor markt .
The wheather was not really kind for us, the outside area was a muddy affair . :(

In previous years this field used to be full with stands...

Inside was only slightly better, it looks crowded but it wasn't.

But there where Ariels!
a late WNG and a Leader, both found new owners.

Probably didn't help that the Somerset VMCC autojumble at Shepton Mallet was also on yesterday where a number of traders who usually are at Kempton were there.

Vincent, thanks for photographing the numbers of the bikes I am able to add them to the register. The W/NG was not on there and the frame comes from a batch of unlisted numbers that were probably supplied as spare frames and would be late 1943. The engine is presumably missing its 'B' as the cases are not 1929! BH 1965 is from July 1940 contract C 8302.
You didn't mention the horn bracket!!!!

Hello Roger, The WNG was being sold by someone who I think is a 'part time' dealer from Poland who works in the Netherlands.
The tin parts on the bike suggest that it is indeed a late model, with a earlier engine. Not uncommon.
Yes the 'B' or perhaps 'RB' has vanished from the engine.
My comment , Yes, I know  , was for that horn bracket !

I thought Shepton was busy compared to recent times with a lot of different stuff there and also a fair bit of early and unusual stuff. The little fella was not for sale but certainly enjoying the day.

Wow, this "Imme" is a nice and rare litte 100cc bike. It had been designed 40 Kms away from us and the manufacture was in Immenstadt near the austrian border. Immenstadt gave it its name "Imme"! Never seen a green Imme before!

The Imme is made like this not becouse the maker wanted to be modern or special, he just had only one size of tube.
