Always use the grease nipple fitted kick start shaft and grease often. You could have a lot of grease in the outer case and it not getting to places if should, Try to look after the speedo drive gears with a nipple there. On the W/NG the front drive needs attention pretty frequently and the alignment done accurately. All that stuff is pretty dear now and I've wrecked one set on my well used 1940 model.
