I have been using them for upwards of 25 years now and find them superb in every way.

Spindles for girder forks are critical. I have heard of a bad accident caused by a broken, home-made spindle in a girder fork on an outfit. I only bought a spindle for the rear wheel from Acme and asked about the material. Their spindles are turned from high tensile material, and I assume the same applies to girder fork spindles. I would trust Acme more than most others. Fit is always perfect.

Acme make the point on their website that their 'Imperial studs' are not suitable
for girder fork spindles but that they can make suitable spindles and these are
listed in the 'Ariel Girder Forks' section.
