£20 for the rusty frame at a jumble. 8 months to get it re-covered .. but I'm pleased.

I could have bought a swingarm to house my girl comfortably ... but I couldnt sell my plunger twin. So it's now got a 500 single, my preferred engine, and a comfy seat

Really nice period seat there John, glad you are pleased with it.

What didn’t you like about the 500 twin? I’ve been riding mine quite a bit recently and I love it, such a different character to my VH. My VH is tuned so it’s not soft by any margin, whereas I find the twin beautifully smooth and effortless.

Dunno really ...found the twin revvy ..... I like the rhythm of the single.

Odd though, as I proper love my t140v .
