One of the last jobs on my bike is to fit the new steering lock. I got one plus grub screw from Drags but there are two problems. Firs is that the lock will only go half way in as it has a very tiny step in it that makes it too large. Second is that the grub screw supplied is far too small for the hole, which I think is about 3/8. I can soon make up a suitable screw if I knew the thread size. Can anyone advise? Also, I could readily turn the few thou step off the lock, but am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any advice, Frank.

Hi
I think you may be confusing where the grub screw fits, (arrowed below).
The larger hole is the access to remove the dowel pin in the steering damper assembly.
As far as fitting the lock, if it's location is clean and it still won't fit a bit of careful file action will sort it out
Regards Mick

Thanks Mick. I had a good poke round for a smaller hole but it's dark up there! I'll have a go with the file.
