Hi, Does anyone know if anybody is currently making alloy barrels for singles?

I'd think John Budgen would be a good person to ask about that as he used to have the new heads and both types of barrels available.
Someone will have posted his contact details (if you've not tried him already!)

Thanks for that. I have been in touch with John Budgen, who has promised to let me know when he has any available. I understand that the gentleman who was making them unfortunately passed away last year.

Thanks, I am considering making a small batch myself but do not want to compete if anyone else is planning to make any.
I only really want one for my bike, an original would be ideal.

Hello John.

I might be interested.

What type do you think that you will make?

Put me on your list.

Thanks

Another John, John Bartram from HT frame fame used to make aluminium cylinders in different sizes.
He has retired from making HT parts, but take a look at his contact page here : https://www.facebook.com/Arieltrials/
maybe it leads you to somewhere-something . Engtec is/was his firms name

Thanks for the help.
I am no expert on the different versions, but had planned to make them as close to the long stroke HS version as possible. I am trying to recreate something similar to the trials outfits that I spent many happy hours watching attacking the Kent and Sussex countryside back in the 1970's.
I have a good local foundry and machine shop but am not sure where to get the pattern work done. I am currently working on the drawings, when time allows. My intention was to end up with a 2D CAD machining drawing, and a 3D model for the casting.
What would be really useful would be some good pictures of a bare barrel, the loan of an original, condition unimportant, would be even better.
