Rear Rack type for late 350cc Red Hunter

Hallo all,
Just bought the above 1959 machine and one thing that would be a huge practical help would be to source the correct (heck 'any' rack which would fit!) rear rack so as to be able to carry items when out on any Runs. Could anyone suggest (or even sell me?) such a rack design please?
One other query - they are low compression engines, but does anyone recommend using any of the lead replacement 'additives' to the potentially rubbish E10 petrol available now?

Hi Richard,

Can't help you with the rack, but I run my bikes on normal pump fuel, usually the premium grade, without any problems. Around Norfolk, premium grades though marked E5 don't have any Ethanol.

Hi Richard,
As Simes says, run it on the best fuel which is marked E5 at the pumps but can have no ethanol in it depending on supplier and geographical location. My 57 NH runs fine on it and I am running a modified piston with a 9:1 CR and HS cam.
As for the rack, I bought one from this company a while back, although not huge it is stainless steel, neat and fits. I notice the one you require is out of stock so if it is what you would like then maybe ring the company.

I am also in W. Norfolk. I use Shell V-Power from the garage at West Lynn (Off the Pullover r. about/Mc Donalds). I think its E5.

I use this Craven carrier which also takes a pair of Craven panniers. The mounting to the bike is designed so that the rack - with or without panniers attached - can be removed from the bike very easily. The front mountings will spring off the double ended bolts at the top of the suspension units and the rear mountings onto the mudguard stays are slotted so can be lifted off once the nuts are slackened.
