Steve, it's either very good chrome or you have the mixture and ignition right..Pulling Cuthbert Caterpilars Caravan is an extra load too. Nev

I feel a bit guilty not posting much, this retirement seems to keep me busy.
Still, its Annual Rally time, I'm packed up ready to go, meeting my friend Andy in Newbury.
After all the hot weather my ride looks like its going to be wet at the beginning

About to set out from Somerset. Up to Chepstow, Ludlow and fiddle round Telford.
Looks dry going that way.
Pete.

Our trip on Saturday was to RAF Cosford. Absolutely spectacular, the way the aircraft are displayed in the main hall is jaw dropping.

On the way home we stopped at a cafe and country store about 10 miles out of Newbury, as we were about to leave we were approached by a biker who had lost his wife, have we seen her with her leather jacket at all he asked, she had apparently taken a walk to look at a wedding that was taking place in an adjoining field. But he had another problem. Petrol was leaking badly from his tank. He had a good idea how to fix it and asked me if I had any duct tape. I had another idea, a small self tapping screw with a leather washer with which we screwed directly into the pinhole. I hope it worked long enough for them to get home
For once the only spannering I did was on someone else's bike

An alternative would have been to have extracted the soap from your washing kit and wiped that across the hole. It's remarkably effective at stopping petrol leaks.

REAL chewing gum will last for years. I've had some on for over 40. If it's stuck on properly in the first instance you can consider it a permanent fix as it hardens in place. Nev
