The engine in my 1943 W/NG has no oil feed from the engine timing side cover as per NH normal. it appears rocker supply comes from the oil tank?--or from the return line to the oil tank?

Or perhaps it has the wrong timing gear cover? Wasn't the feed deleted post 1952?

All bar the earliest WNG's relied on the internal ball valve with no adjustment. You most likely have a later (mid 50's) case. You should be able to get the correct one without that much trouble. Nev

Have a look at these previous topics which should help understand the differences in timing covers and the oil feed to the rockers

thanks guys--i found a timing cover with the correct rocker feed connection-and a complete engine for a 1950 NH with a good timing cover but a bit expensive but still thinking.
