1 Inch tubing in the Netherlands
For those in the Netherlands who are looking for 1" tubing :
Westland Customs
https://www.westlandcustoms.com/1-meter ... mm-(staal)
They also supply other inch sizes.
This is tubing with a seam, I have not been able to find seamless in NL.
Possibly it is available but only if you buy a truckload

CDS tubing (cold drawn seamless) is the tubing used throughout the fluid power (hydraulics) industry.
The standard length for 1" tubing is 8 metres (or 6 metres)
Contact your local hydraulics companies and you should be able to buy the length you want; i.e. if you need 3.5 metres they should be able to cut that amount.
They will have the benders to shape the tubing, so can bend for you as well.

Hello Richard, thanks for that, but isn't the wall thickness a bit to much for a motorcycle frame ?

The CDS hydraulic tube is available in different wall thicknesses,up to heavy enough to be used for gunbarrels.....not that it matters for a bike frame, but each length is also proof tested to as much as 10,000psi......Stainless is also available ,and its a malleable type, can be flared and swaged.

What John said.
Hydraulic tubing (CDS1010) comes in a number of gauges. Welds beautifully.
The heavier gauge you use, the easier it is to weld, and the stronger the frame.

Hello Richard, John,
It sure is on the list with the larger steel companys over here but you cant buy just one lenght.
I have not found a hydraulic pipe dealer that stocks, or wants to stock, the 1" size thin walled.
It's all metric here.
So I opted for the seam type that I can buy per meter.
I did bite the bullet for a lenght (6 meter) of 48mm thin wall seamless 'precision tube' for making one (1 ) exhaust pipe.
That costed 230,- euro including transport I saved 50,- (!) on the transport because I allowed them to cut the lenght in half hmmm , you either want something or you dont want something....
Oh yes, I can have that exhaust pipe made in the Netherlands but only in 45mm, not in 48mm. No good....

Hi Vincent,
What tube size (OD) were you looking for, and what quantity?
