Good morning
Can anyone help please,
I am completely stripping my Ariel leader now and have got everything off the frame but am having trouble removing the head race upper and lower cups. Any ideas or tricks that I don't know about.
Cheers
Paul

Re: HEAD RACE CUPS REMOVAL
If you have a new head set , a sure fire way is to run a mig weld bead around the race and it usually drops out

Re: HEAD RACE CUPS REMOVAL
The recommended way as explained in the Workshop manual is to use a hammer and drift (and its worked for me removing head races). To remove the head race in the top of the frame you insert the drift through the underside and up through the tube and position the drift on the area of head race that overlaps the tube and drift it out changing position of the drift as you hit it with the hammer to dislodge it evenly. To remove the bottom head race insert the drift through the top etc. Jess
