for over 40 years. It's a frustrating mixture of wonderfully original features
and terrible bodges. I worked on these things in the 60's and so have some experience
of them but what I'm finding more and more is that the memories I have are incomplete.
gives access to the coils. This cover was made out of what I call 'elephant hide'
and was the same shape as the access hole but slightly larger and retained by a pair
of clips which fitted into the holes at either side of the access hole.
I've looked in the Parts List, the User's Guide and the Workshop Manual and can
find no mention of such a cover. So, were they fitted at all or is my memory at
fault once again?
