INot bad, but those grooves made in the tarmac by trucks panicked me at first as I forgot about my extra width, after that it was all good.
Just a little concerned about the bike, when I stopped at Jim's place she didn't want to start, and made a funny noise too, kinda scratching rubbing sort of sound. I'll take a look later.

It's a lovely spot but the camping has absolutely no facilities as you have to be all self sufficient, there's even no toilets. All back to basic stuff. Good fun. I've just riddin 8 miles to Killington Lake services for the morning necessities.

That's my usual first stop when heading south - its 154 miles from home. When I had the BMW K1200GT (Superbrick) the low fuel warning light would be on for 10 miles before I got there (stupid small tank on a bike that only does 9 miles per litre!).

Nowadays the two BMW 'GS' don't need fuel until I'm down in the Midlands - but the call of nature has me stopping there just the same .

Its a very picturesque spot, one of my favourites (Tebay Services north-bound is another ).
