I've stuck the outer sole on now have to sew through the welt into the outer sole

Row of stitching through the welt into the outer leather sole
Finshed
Then I stuck some 6mm rubber on the sole and then stacked up leather to form a heel. That to is topped off with 6mm rubber

Are you not using old tyres for the sole.

I remember in the 80s having boots the soles had some pattern as tt100 tyres.
