110 miles today, we did a trial run of the Friday route on our Annual rally towards Portsmouth. The genarator packed up but I think the battery wire came disconnected, I'll check tomorrow.
No bad oil leaks, but anything after 50mph and she started to feel bogged down I'm guessing the 250 main jet.

Unusual for a sidevalve these days. You must have the timing right, and It's NOT leaking oil. Haven't you put any in it? I get it all the time. (just boasting . I don't get much opportunity as age advances). Nev

Yes, timing does feel about right Nev, bit of luck with me I'm afraid.nevhunter wrote:Unusual for a sidevalve these days. You must have the timing right, and It's NOT leaking oil. Haven't you put any in it? I get it all the time. (just boasting . I don't get much opportunity as age advances). Nev
Thst slight hesitation could have been the plug. That screw on aluminium bit on the plug wasn't there! Only gravity held it on the plug cap.
The colour looks ok.

Just filled up after the Friday ride, around 120 miles in total done since my fill up. 11.50 at 127.9 per litre works out at around 60mpg, not too bad

Ride up to Croydon this morning , lovely day
Home via Andover and Wherwell. Our Sunday route will go through this beautiful village. The roadside had this strange phenomenon, I suspect its spider webs catching all the dandelion seed blown in the air.
