MYSTERY SCREWS IN BASE OF CRANKCASE

Post by terrylangley »

Cleaning up a spare crankcase for a future engine build exposed two screws under the crankcase into both chambers. I have not removed them but they are about 3mm. I will hopefully add a couple of pictures to this topic. Does anybody know why someone would do this?
Thanks for your help, Terry Langley

hi terry i think it can be to drain the the crankcase or use a vacuum or presser gauge on to see what is going on in the crankcase :!:
