I managed to center all important points at 0. I added connecting rods and put everything in the prepared crankcases.

together with the Ariel 4F / 1932 engine I also started to renovate the 4F / 1934 engine
I sent him to an aluminum cleaning company. The result is wonderful
the total cost of cleaning did not exceed EUR 75 www.cistenihliniku.cz

Impressive work. When assembling the big ends, it is worth rotating the con rods by hand for a few rotations. The rollers have a tendency to bunch up and prevent rotation if you don't have enough clearance in the big end bearing. Rotating the con rod with a finger will test this. If the rollers lock up, the bearing centre will turn on the crank which is a common problem on the ohc four engine. You need to be able to put a 1.5thou (0.0015inch) feeler gauge between the rollers and the outer race to avoid the rollers locking up. Information courtesy of the late Ted Woodrow (who built the replica of Ben Bickell's blown OHC four) and tried and tested satisfactorily for over 10,000 miles on my own ohc four.
