Can anyone advise on this damage I found when dismantling the gearbox.
In the inner gearbox casting there is some damage to what I think is a stop for the kick starter quadrant it looks as if has been damaged by the quadrant hitting the casting over period of time.
My question is, will the damage cause a problem or am I looking the replacing the inner gearbox casting ?
Photo attached shows the damage.
Grateful for any advice.
Mike

Re: Gearbox question "Leader"
Hi Mike
The cause of your extra ware may have been the parking angle of the kick start lever, John Ellis told me that parking the kick start lever at 12 oclock rather 11 oclock puts ware on that casting. I have a spare casting if wanted.

Thanks Bob & Johnny for your comments, great help. Thanks for the offer Bob I am lucky in that when I rescued the bike from going to scrap it came with four complete engines (in many bits) Now found an inner box without damage.
Rebuild now on the cards. Your comments regarding the kick starter parking angle is very interesting I will make sure I set it correctly.
