Burman gearbox speedo drives

Hi All,
Hoping to get some advice, presently restoring a 1951 VH Red Hunter, I am down to the final part chase, I am after a 15T speedo drive for the Burman BA gearbox, I noted that there was some discussion earlier (2011) on getting hold of the Speedo drive gears, grinding off the end of the layshaft and fitting the new gear on, has anyone tried this and some advice on where to get the gear would be really helpful
