The next move seems to be doing something with the clutch, wile it never showed
any sign of slipping before the cam swap it does now as the toque comes in on
acceleration in top gear, a look through my bits is called for.

All the best to everyone.

W/NG's have the same size clutch as the normal 500's do so 1/2 turn on each spring should do it. Check it releases evenly at the same time or go the whole hog and wash the corks in Petrol. First thing though is check the adjustment free play.. Nev

Many thanks for the reply, didn't know it was the same size as the 500 so it should
stand anything a 350 can through at it, I am sure it is adjusted correctly but will
strip and and clean the plates, I was surprised when it slipped as it had showed
no sign of the slightest slipping before the cam change but there is noticeably
more acceleration.

Check and clean the slots in your outer basket making sure that there is no debris at the bottom of the slot. This caused me clutch slip earlier in the year as the debris was just enough to prevent the plates meeting fully. The clutch only slipped in bottom gear when starting off steeply uphill.
