John, You don't need to have a polished bike when it's meant to be camouflaged. Another difference is the non use of the small rollers in the shifter drum outer support. They are eliminated and a bronze bush replaces the hardened steel sleeve the "civilian" ones had. There is no apparent difference in the feel of the gearchange. A lot easier to assemble and reduces the risk of a roller going through the gears and wrecking the whole show. Nev
