My NH was originally registered in Finland 1958. It's a -57 model with AMA/APR serial numbers. I bought it, with a friend in order to share cost, in 1971 from the first owner, big end close to failure, almost complete, but poorly maintained. We stripped the bike, had the big end renewed, painted and modified it slightly to " seventies guise". It was used from -72 to ca. -82, when we had already moved to different locations after jobs. The NH was again stripped and stored in boxes at my home farm, in a dry place fortunately. During the eighties I became a member in AOMCC, enjoyed reading Cheval de Fer and followed what was happening in the classic mc scene. I also bought a -72 Ducati 450, Matchless (Harris) G80, which I still have after some 93000 trouble free kms , a Moto Guzzi -72 with side car was used for more than 10 years when the boys were small. I retired three years ago and started the NH project. Since a few weeks it's ready for registration. Probably in April the weather should allow riding to an inspection station. I'm still going to fabricate the centre stand as it was lost by the first owner already.
I enclose two photos, one from the seventies and the second from 2020.
I'm looking forward to enjoying the NH on the winding back roads next summer.
Best regards,
Vesa
