Modern batteries are small. The square four battery box is large. Does anybody have experience about fitting two 6V batteries.
Can't remember here and now if they should be in series or parallel but I'll mug up on that.
Whilst I'm on here can somebody inform me of the charge rate from the Lucas box under the seat.
Thank you Steve Smethurst.

Thanks Dave, I'll give it a go because it fagged out today in feral and hostile no mans land within Greater Manchester.

Re: Double 6V battery
I've had two 6V VRLA batteries on mine for years, in parallel.
I had a notion that I might design a split charging circuit so that both were charged, but only one was drained by the ignition. That way, I'd have a spare on-board to get me home (as long as it was daytime!).
I haven't done that yet.

Re: Double 6V battery
Good idea Simon, wish I had thought of it. In the end I opted for a 6V cyclone battery with 8 amp capacity.
