petrol tank

Hi Guys, i have recently bought a 1950 and a 1951 square four, my first question is about the 1950 petrol tank, the removable plate on top has 4 large holes for guages/switches but all the ones i have seen online only have 3, they dont have the large hole at the top for the ign/light switch is this normal or has someone cut mine out, the switch i got with it is slightly smaller than the hole so falls in, thanks Kevin in B.C. Top front hole is uaually for the clock(timepiece not speedo)
