Not sure I'd like a Hovercraft, even harder to steer then a Sidecar.
A little progress today, new number plate and its carrier. And a wiring success

I thought the bearing in my magneto replacement body for my electric points was shot. I could feel alot of movement in the fibre pinion. But it wasn't the bearing, it was these 4 rivits loose

I assume that given your customary speed of rebuilding we shall see you on WE this weekend at the Crazy Horse Rally?

It rattles a little so a little look at the tappets was in order. I'd forgotten my method for preventing the tappet falling off.

Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2020
Took the VH for a short ride to Marchwood near Southampton. I fancied a giving her a run to make sure everything was running ok before the Crazy Horse but got a good soaking into the bargain. Still I found some good shelter in my customers car park.
Before I got started on my job I got chatting to the engineer, nice guy, likes his bikes. He also wished me a good weekend away at the rally in the Forest of Dean, Couldn't work out how the hell he knew I was going away. Turns out he knows one of our Hampshire lads small world

Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2020
Wish I was going with you Steven, I could use a ride. Unfortunately a metre of snow and temperatures dropping to -26C this weekend prevent such activity. Guess I will have to take in some ice-racing this weekend instead.
Have a good trip.
