nice roads now i see why you have a scrambler can you use studs in the tyres or you do not need them up in the mountains in the snow and ice i have done ice racing in a car but not on a motorcycle looks like its lots of fun p s i like the red tyres

A friend was selling four tyres, and I thought they would look smashing on a white russian with high pipes. Snow was only found on a mountain top 1666m high on that trip, which was in late september. I had to ride carefully in the snow, it was a bit slippery. The red tyres does not melt the snow, but the rubber is soft and a little bit grippy in fact. Made by Continental for the german Opel motorcycle club, branded "Peters Union". Later on that trip we went up a gravel road, which had been washed out by heavy rain, so it resembled a dried out river bed, complete with rocks and small boulders. The IZH didn't complain, the torquey 350 single cylinder reed valve two stroke pulled like a tractor all the way. A couple of other bikes on the trip, more suited to this kind of "off roading", namely a Yamaha XT600 and a modern Triumph Tiger, were no match for the cheeky IZH in the rough.
