Those bikes actually came about in the fifties or perhaps earlier as 'Long John' or 'Danish cargo bike' - no not Dutch, Danish (a mix-up frequently made by UK folks )

We had lots of them here in Denmark. Scool boys were delivering beer in wood boxes with 50 bottles after scool hours.

Re: Ariel, Riding, Breaking and Fixing Diary 2022 Retired!
Had a little oil leak problem yesterday.
Recently I fixed a rockerbox leak thats been annoying me for a few months or so, my oily left leg finally got me into action. All seemed well until yesterday when I noticed oil spattered over my battery box. I was hopefuly that a little tighten would fix. A big NO to that, it was much worse so I took it all off to investigate.
I must have over tightened up one of those front nuts on the stud on the rockerbox that also holds the head steady. I had managed to pull the helicoil out which even managed to entwine itself into my copper gasket. This was also trying to wedge the rockerbox off the head. The more I tightened it the bigger the oil leak.
I've a spare rockerbox which is now fitted, and no oil leak.
Just need to find a way of fixing this one

I had a Triumph T90 many years ago, and had the self same problem with the 1/4 CEI studs pulling out, and had to helicoil numerous times.
