Ah. Should have read 12V (A 1V iron would be useless).

Managed to get myself caught up in a clousure and road works only a mile away from the Camp site on Friday . Nice spot though near a Windmill and even managed to get chatting to a real nice guy manning the blockade. The tarmac had only been just laid.
We were there so long talking he even made me a cup of tea.
