The engine is in very good condition so what can you do with it.

You could put in the 2000 hours and make the tricycle viewtopic.php?t=410&hilit=1898

Or put it in a pre 1928 frame viewtopic.php?t=14079
You need to alter the drive to the otherside.

Or use it as a doorstopper :D .

The fact that it says Components Dion it could be a farmhouse drive component from day one (C8 Components nr.8), the Dion part was only the patent thing, there is no Dion made engine looking like this.
I need a photo from the other driveside to see if it had a gearbox, if it has than it could even be a Fleet tricycle (if they where already using that name in 1901).

The magneto sprocket is in the way of seeing 4 bolts under the crank that's where the 2 gearbox was bolted.

This engine is forsale at Yesterdays, as you can see it's differend.
I think it's 1902-1903 of a tricycle with the engine behind the axel like the one in the Beaulieu museum but you can put it in a 2 wheelerframe.
