The bike was despatched on 5th March, so only 2 months until its birthday.

This ma be a long shot but I went back this week to the chap that sold me frame number 2754 (NH 350, 1956) and bought a rear number plate from him. The number plate has the registration 976 BYP on it and I wonder if that is the original registration?
I have no documents for the motorcycle.

Unlikely as that number is on the DVLA records as a 1961 Norton 650.

The BYP series was issued from April 1961 so it ties up with the Norton and is nothing like a 1956 bike.
