Hi All,
I wonder if someone on here could help me with a query I have regarding painting my 1938 NG petrol tank correctly?
It's a chrome plated tank and I need to add the two side panels as well as the top one all in black lined in gold.
I am mostly concerned about the shape and size of the top panel. I have seen variations on the website photos and not quite sure what is correct. I have seen some with a top solid panel going right down to the seat end of the tank and I have also seen other top panels divided in two in a sort of inverted Vee starting at the instrument panel and spreading out to the two lower tank extremities.
What is correct?
Also I have seen some tank instrument panels finished in chrome plate while others painted in the main tank panel colours.
Again which is correct please.
Many thanks,
Albert Pisani
