Hi
It's a personal choice, but in view of the fact that a brand new original specification 376 Monobloc can be purchased for a cost similar to a new, non standard, Concentric, I'd go for originality every day. When I buy restoration projects originality of parts is always an important consideration.

Many thanks for all your replies! Original suggestion was that it was probably a worn needle jet - replaced that with a new genuine Amal jet and the problem was sorted. Just been on a 40 mile run and on checking the plug on my return no soot and perfect colour!
