I had my first decent run on the twin on Thursday with the local section of the VMCC. I did just over
50 miles of Chilterns back roads in Beds and Herts: no snatch, nicely lively and less than a
gallon of E10. What more could I ask for?

Just to keep me on my toes the clutch, a Burman composite friction one, not cork, was just beginning
to slip. Not really surprising as the clutch has the light springs for a cork clutch and not the
heavier ones necessary for composite clutches. This bike has a lot of nice touches, some of them
somewhat marred by previous owners not perhaps appreciating what they had.

hi i would get a set of cork plates off the clubs gearbox and clutch parts like i have done to my bike now it's a nice clutch with no slip

I agree that cork clutches are much smoother in take-up and lighter in action but
at the moment I don't have three usable cork plates but I do have a set of
heavy clutch springs. Maybe later . . .

I agree, the cork clutch is excellent as are the parts available from club spares.
