Dimensions for the short stub section of a QD rear axle

Does anyone have the dimensions for the so called 'short' short stub axle for QD four stud full width alloy rear wheel, part number 4465-53?
I bought a rear wheel for my 1956 NH and acquired the axle separately. Now that I come to assemble the rear wheel the chain sprocket stands proud of the wheel studs with no threads showing on the studs. Obviously this can't be correct. I want to know if I have the longer version of the short stub axle that passes through the sprocket and that is why it is holding the sprocket off the studs. If I do have the longer version of the 'short' stub axle(!) do I have to obtain a corresponding axle that passes through the brake plate to match the short, short stub and is that a different part number to 4236-46?

I didn't think there was anything in common between the full-width hubs and the earlier brakes.

hi, i think you need to look up your type of wheel on drags the half width hub is totally diffent

The Drags list of parts to convert BSA to Ariel full width rear hub kind of helps in that it lists the part number for the QD spindle but, without measurements, I do not know which spindle and stub axle I have.
The main spindle has the right diameter for the brake plate and bearings with 26 TPI thread for the stub axle. The stub axle also has 26 TPI thread and fits the sprocket bearing but it may be the longer version. I may have to buy the short stub axle to see if that works with the arrangement that I have. ACME sells them.

The one I have looks like 4332-56 so the length of the bottom section (widest diameter one) would be good. Out of interest I should also like the same measurement for the middle axle as this may be the one referred to on the ACME website as the 'short' stub axle. However, the threaded section looks to be too narrow compared with 4332-56.
