Hello,
I found the correct jet for my air correction at the local scooter shop. I want to thank all of you, that has lighten my understanding of a solex carb, still think it’s a bit complicated compared with the normal Amal. I’m looking forward to have it installed. I have put a tiny bit of epoxy glue in the gab between the venture liner and carb body, behind the notch. Still think the mixture should be regulated with jets and not a unmetered hole in the casting… Thanks again Regards Henning

Hi, on assembling the carb, I noticed that when I’m installing the float camber, the pilot jet has a bit of space in the housing, believe there can be a small amount air leak there. Is that normal?

I think we have to assume that it's the design condition and that the carburettor is jetted to accommodate the air that will go in through that route. There's no seal and it's just the same as mine.

Hi Simes,
Yes, you are absolutely right, the way of design. Does your carb also have the passage between the sleeve and body at the notch, at the place where I have put a piece of wire?..

So finally got the correct jet for the Air correction-150. After studying the emulsion tube, I discovered that mine has number 26, believe it should be 23. Is that critical?...

Yes very critical - the Emulsion Tube defines the shape of the mixture curve over the full throttle range. The correct Emulsion Tube is No. 26 - this is what it looks like.

The Choke Tube size is 23 (23mm inner diameter) - are you confusing the Emulsion Tube number with this?

Hi Pete, Yes, I’m confusing just about everything on this carb. Just noticed that the number 26 is stamped on it. Have check it, and inner diameter around 2,3mm. Thanks a lot Pete, you are great help..
