VH 1953... nearly finished

Post by Heiko.Hecht »

Hello,

here is my VH 1953. Nearly finished. Only a few bits and bobs. I hope... fingers crossed.

And also a Model 50 is still in my Garage.

Hallo Heiko,
deine 53er sieht toll aus. Jetzt kannst Du damit zum Weihnachtstreffen in Amberg kommen.. ;)

Re: VH 1953... question

Hello,

After I removed the front wheel to replace the tyre, I was a little surprised that the fork rebounded so much. Is this correct or is there a problem on the horizon for me?

I think you may have the 1946-53 short upper bushes and the later, long stanchions. The only problem will be slightly faster rate of wear.

Wenn du mit einem Ariel zum Weihnachtsessen fährst, bist du dort das einzige Fahrrad, es sei denn, Klaus fährt mit seinem Ariel???

Thanks for the input Roger. Have to be done somehow next year.

Amberg in the wintertime is a little bit to far and cold with a bike…. About 500km one way.
