The bike was for sale I think at the El Camino Swapmeet here in Southern California, I did not pay too much attention as with side car, the bike would be into the 5 figure price range. I went to that event mainly with the intention on buying a classic motorcycle, it was only as I was about to leave that I spotted the ariel and talked to the man selling it on behalf of the owner. Might might be at the event again next year, I can ask Thor if he knows who owns that bike. Here are some of the pictures of other rare pre war bikes that were at the event, few Ariels though.

Oooh, I would have liked to see that swap. I have promised myself I would do it one of these days.
Nice find, reaching out to others some of us on this side of the pond is going to be one source of missing parts.
